Photo & Omikuji
You can take photos with a torii gate in the background and enjoy a Japanese-style atmosphere. Nearby, you can also try an omikuji to see your fortune. With the photo experience, this booth lets you enjoy the feeling of a Japanese shrine. You can also ask the staff to take a photo for you.

Calligraphy
This booth lets you write kanji using traditional paper and a brush. Beginners are welcome, so anyone can join and enjoy calligraphy. You can also experience a moment of focus while you are trying calligraphy.

Japanese tie die
This booth lets you try traditional Japanese tie-dye (shibori) and also buy ready-made items. You can make your own patterned handkerchief or buy a T-shirt. Make your own design on the spot and take home something unique.

Japanese Toy
You can play with traditional Japanese toys like kendama, koma (spinning tops), daruma-otoshi (daruma stacking toy), and hagoita (battledore). Anyone can join in easily. If you got a high score with the kendama, your name (optional) and score will be recorded on the board!

Katana
An experienced instructor who has trained for many years will teach you how to handle a Japanese sword and the basic movements in a simple way. Try moving your body and experience the form and movement of Japanese martial arts. Beginners are always welcome!

Kamishibai
The Kamishibai Booth hosted by Rye Neck students offers a fun introduction to traditional Japanese storytelling through illustrated folktales presented in both Japanese and English. Suitable for all ages, visitors are welcome to join at any time and enjoy the stories!
